A Beautiful Disaster - Grand Lake

My friend (and bass player in our band) Jeff Gabarino told me I had to go through the Grand Lake area, so after sleeping in Leadville I headed across I-70 and on up through Rocky Mountain Park into Grand Lake and it was fantastic. After that I headed west and decided to paint this creek in the late afternoon light. It was a bit of a race, and after my third painting of the day I was ready to sleep but ended up driving all the way over to Idaho Springs! I must have been delirious.
